I am interested in signing up for Aajonus's [Primal Diet] newsletter and
getting as much information as I can possibly get concerning the Primal Diet.
I started the Primal Diet back in Jan 2013. While doing research
on the internet I came across an interview Aajonus had done online. His
ideas made sense to me so I bought both of his books and started the
diet.
Prior to starting the Primal Diet I was in very bad shape. I had
been diagnosed with leaky gut syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, and
various auto immune disease. The diagnosis were from both mainstream
and alternative practitioners.
After using Aajonus's protocol for 8
months as instructed in "The Recipe for Living without Disease" my life
has changed dramatically.
Before the Primal Diet I was so broken down by
sickness that I could not work or hardly take care of myself at all. I
had been on a merry-go-round of over 8 medications and felt like I was
100 years old and I'm only 42.
After only three months on the Primal Diet
my health started to rapidly improve and I was able to get off all the
medications. It was crazy how fast things started turning around for me.
You have to understand that I thought I was going to just waste away
and die.
I am very excited because I am getting stronger every day on
the Primal Diet. However I feel devastated having found out about
Aajonus's death. This man has probably saved my life and he never even
knew who I was and I never got to meet him. I had made the decision that
I would consult Aajonus via phone or email as soon as I could and now I
will never get the chance. So I am hoping you can help me with some
direction.
Is the newsletter still going to be available? Where can I
find additional information on Aajonus's primal diet? As i stated I have
the two books and am using the diet with incredible results however I
feel that I have just scratched the surface of Aajonus's information and
how it can pertain to my health. If you could please help me with some
direction on where to get more information on the primal diet that would
great. Thanks.
Dear ...,
I am very glad to hear of your major benefits on the Primal Diet created by Aajonus.
Many of us feel the same way about missing Aajonus. There are some memorials occurring in various parts of the country this week and next week.
In answer to your question, yes you may sign up as a subscriber on the site. All the Primal Diet Newsletters have been archived and are available in the password protected part of the site. There is a project just beginning now to include many 'question and answer' sessions where Aajonus gives very vital information. These are being assembled and will be in audio as well transcript format. There are other such actions to collect up other information as well for subscribers. This service definitely will continue as it so important to so many people.
Highest regards,

Aajonus, what a caring, deep and thoughtful person
1. The following was submitted by someone from viewing the WeWant2Live.com site and volunteering a tribute and life story, from her heart.
"My
health challenge was not overtly obvious. I had become a vegetarian
when I was 14 and had continued working at making changes as I learned
what was good for me and what was not. When I reached my mid 30’s I
could tell something was not right so decided to stay open to learning
if I ran across something or someone I sensed might be able to help me.
That happened at 45, 11 years ago now when I met a follower of the
Primal Diet who I went to for getting help with my torn ACL [anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is one of the four major ligaments of the human knee.]. I
had a sense he knew more than what he was telling me so I let him know
that I was open to more information. One of his recommendations was the
book We Want to Live. This began a 2 year study and experimenting
process. I felt Aajonus was way out there but [the person I was consulting regarding the torn ligament] was following what
this book recommended so I dabbled with what I dared.
I
started with the raw milk and it did not take much and could tell I
felt just a little better and I did not get all full of pasty mucus
which is why I initially gave up milk years prior. I had periodic
bladder infections so when that came up for me I followed what Aajonus
said to do and the butter/honey mixture was so soothing. My remedy in
the past was to stop eating except for oranges and this worked but I
would get weak, adding the butter/honey mixture gave me energy and it
was very soothing. I also did the beet juice every 4 days and I have not
had bladder infections for years now J
When I finally got the courage to try the raw meat it was very small
amounts because of the psychological piece of years of programming of
how bad meat (cooked) was for a human being. When I got to the place I
could have a meal of meat I felt so amazingly good, but then in 30
minutes I would be ravenous. I do not have that now but I did the first
6-12 months of starting the meat meals. It had been so frustrating for
me for years that shouldn’t I feel better, stronger and more vital after
I ate, often I felt better not eating, but that of course can only last
so long. I had even put up a prayer into the heavens several months
prior telling God if I knew what to eat so I could feel good I would.
After discovering this experience in eating the raw meat, I responded to
God in frustration, “well this is not what I had in mind”. It has its
challenges socially but I love how it makes me feel and this is what I
live with 24/7 so I have found ways to stay on the diet whether
traveling or eating out and I have benefited so much.
In
2004 I found a nutritionist who was familiar with the vegan diet I was
on and also The Primal Diet. She discovered that I was quite anemic,
even the iron stores in my liver where bottomed out. This is when I
started the raw meat that gradually changed my condition and now am nice
and pink. The nutritionist main concern about my eating the raw meat
was the risk of getting parasites….I decided to find a source of quality
meat and take what then was a risk. Now of course I realize that
parasites are our friends when eating this way. J
Starting
the high meat and getting plenty of raw meat into me to deal with my
emotional and gut challenges was the biggest leap but one of the most
rewarding. I am so much calmer and have so much more internal peace now.
Each year that passes I my thinking ability gets more clear, easier and
I am able to concentrate so much better. I had stretches that the
thinking became more difficult, but gradually that would pass.
Presently
I am learning how to monitor what I eat so I do not detox to fast and
get a tummy ache with a cloudy head. Using the cheese often throughout
the day and keeping my raw fat intake up, especially the raw butter up
and going easy on the fruit….all the things Aajonus says has been the
trick.
It
has been a patient process learning and integrating the truths that
Aajouns has discovered in the powers of healing raw foods but with huge
benefits. I am so going to miss his newsletter and especially not seeing
him each year to learn what changes he could see in my eyes. I hope he
taught someone how to do the iridology that he did. I was hoping someday
to study under him to learn this. I will continue to read his material
and practice what he has taught and work at continued learning. Health
is a priceless gift!!! I will also continue to share these principles
with people and help to empower those who too long for vitality and
health.
When
I was 14 I realized how important our bodies are in affecting our
experience here on planet earth and from my reading of the Bible I was
motivated to want to learn how to eat for strength. This began my
journey seeking for ways of treating my body that helped me feel as
strong and good as possible. I started as a vegetarian and followed this
way of eating until my mid 40’s when I was told of the book We Want to
Live. I spent 2 years reading this and other material, dabbling with
what Aajonus recommended before I wanted to meet him and go to one of
his workshops. When I read his book I felt he was emotionally out of
balance, but when I met I was pleasantly surprised what a caring, deep
and thoughtful person he was. I made the decision to try and go fully on
the Primal Diet after 3 years of edging my way in that direction. I
hope I can be ½ the human that Aajonus was . I admire his values and
clarity to integrate those values into his life to bless as many people
as want the blessing. He was like a modern day Thomas Jefferson for me,
for us, constantly learning and working to get and keep our food
freedom. Educating the public on what is healthy food, to creating
markets for farmers so they would be motivated to grow good quality
foods. He was so through in his methods, he continues to amaze me.
I
learned I could trust him, because if there were things he was not sure
of he would tell me so. If there were things he was sure of, he would
also tell me so. This has given me courage to press on to follow what he
was recommending as I listened to my body. More than anyone or any diet
I have been on The Primal Diet is all about eating for strength. What
doctor could one go to who can actually prescribe what they themselves
have experienced and found health from.
I
so hope those of us who have been blessed by what Aajouns learned and
taught us can pull together and carry the torch of the primitive life
giving principles. Even my kitties are daily blessed by what I learned
from Aajonus J
My
vision of Aajouns has often been and now will be is of him swimming in
the ocean out in Tahiti during the years he felt so good ….. swimming
with endless energy, free in the peace of the natural world he loved so
much!
Hope this is helpful Jim….it is the least I can do!!!
Sending out Peace and comfort to us all in this huge loss!!!

Aajonus's Life Mission
“To help reverse disease and facilitate healthier lives and a more peaceful world for those interested.”
When I approached Aajonus in 2004 with my plan for me to set up the WeWant2Live.com site, I asked him his Mission. He gave me the one sentence you see above. Now in 2013 I look at that one sentence statement. He DID live by this statement. He also gave anyone who is not interested the immediate right to exit from the page or discussion, with no blame or shame.
On these pages I will occasionally put up some feedback from “those interested”. If someone not interested comes along, they are invited to exit from this page right away.
There is no harm and no controversy in this statement as far as I can see and as far as any of the thousands of people whose lives he did improve. Read on if you like, at http://www.wewant2live.com/
Also, see the tribute from one person who is now of great service to the raw foods community, having been resurrected from serious 'incurable' diseases which kept her bed-ridden much of the time:
Aajonus
was a nutritionist who developed the Primal Diet, the very diet which
saved Renée Ainlay's life (founder of Original Living Coconut) You can
read Renee's journey here: http://www.originallivingcoconut.com/ReneesStory.aspx Aajonus was also an activist for the non-profit organization, Right to Choose Healthy Food. He was the author of two books: We Want to Live & The Recipe for Living Without Disease.
Aajonus traveled around the world, sharing his wealth of knowledge,
helping people find vibrant health & come out of the grips of
disease. Tragically, Aajonus fell from his second story balcony at his
home in Thailand when it gave way. He suffered a broken spine &
internal bleeding. He was taken to the hospital where he passed.
A Word From Renée, Founder of OLC
I am
writing this with a very heavy heart. My dear friend and teacher Aajonus
Vonderplanitz just recently passed away. He was on his 2nd floor
balcony at his home in Thiland when it gave way. He suffered a broken
back and internal bleeding and passed at the hospital.
As many
of you know my story, I have been following Aajonus's Primal Diet for 7
1/2 years. Not only have I regained my health, but Aajonus has inspired
me and changed the direction of my life. I will forever be indebted to
him and I am truly blessed to have known him. Not only has he helped me
but he has helped others in my family (my husband, my kids & their
families & my brothers).
A
pioneer of the raw food movement, Aajonus has paved the way for many. He
first introduced the Primal Diet through his books, We Want to Live and
A Recipe for Living Without Disease. His teachings didn't stop there,
he made DVDs and wrote newsletters, gave lectures, appeared on TV talk
shows, radio shows etc. He has accompished so much I cant even begin to
name them all. He was an activist for the raw milk movement. He
spearheaded the abolition of California's ban of raw milk sales in
stores. He gave countless hours of his time to help defend farmers
against raw milk lawsuits. He has helped thousands of people regain
their health over the many years.
...
I will miss you my dear friend and
teacher. I will miss talking to you and miss your heart hugs. You were a
very special treasure to many. Along with everyone else I will do my
best to carry on and share what I have learned on my jorney for health.
Rest in peace my friend. I pray blessings, peace and comfort for your
family and friends. -Reneè, Founder of Original Living Coconut

The Rawesome Trial was not a jury trial. It is over; it has been settled.
As there have been so many inquiries about it, and the people involved, and the mystery surrounding it, Aajonus's description will be available for public viewing at the following link through the first week of August:
http://www.wewant2live.com/2013/07/26/rawesome-trial-outcome-summarized-aajonus/ .
After that, it will be archived on the http://www.wewant2live.com site.

Diet or Exercise - Which is More Important to Health?
Aajonus - the creator of the Primal Diet and author of We Want To Live: the Primal Diet and The Recipe for Living Without Disease - has continued his research. He communicates updated information in his series of archived Primal Diet Newsletters. In one such newsletter, he makes clear for me that for some people exercise is of paramount importance (along with a healthy diet) and for others it is not so important. How does he tell the difference?
Some of the questions that are answered in the password protected part of the www.WeWant2Live.com site
were published a week ago here:
http://www.wewant2live.blogspot.com/2013/05/where-do-i-get-real-information-about.html .
Other topics and questions that have been answered for subscribers in the first two years of Primal Diet newsletters can be see here: http://www.wewant2live.com/2013/06/07/primal-diet-newsletter-archives-topics-questions-answered-years/ . The links to the actual newsletters are available to those who have subscribed to view Aajonus's newsletters, articles, interviews and more.
To me, it is a relief to have access to a living author who is on the right track of research (in my opinion). He keeps information available to those who reach for it. Check it out for yourself! His answer regarding who requires at least a certain amount of exercise each day and who does not is an important piece of data for me. You will have your own questions of course.
