If you are affected by restrictions on the transportation of raw milk,...

Dear Members,

The Farm-to-Consumer Legal Defense Fund (FTCLDF) is considering taking action against the FDA on regulation 1240.61, the prohibition against raw milk for human consumption across state lines.
FTC is looking for plaintiffs, private citizens who wish to be listed in this complaint against the government. Specifically, they are looking for the following:

1. A citizen from state A (where it is illegal to buy/sell raw dairy) goes into state B to buy some raw dairy (where it is legal to buy/sell). Citizen then buys the dairy from a store or farm and takes it back to state A. Examples might be someone living in Reno, Nevada who goes across state lines to purchase raw milk in Reno, California, or someone living in New Jersey who goes to a farm in Pennsylvania to purchase raw milk and then take it home.

2. A citizen from state A (where it is legal to buy/sell) goes into neighboring state B (where it is also legal to buy/sell) and buys raw dairy from a store or farm (the closest store/farm is in state B) and takes it back to state A. For example, someone from Connecticut might go into Massachusetts to purchase raw milk.

3. A citizen from state A is a member of a cooperative located in state B. It is legal in state A to buy/sell but it is illegal to buy/sell in state B. The citizen goes to the cooperative in state B and picks up their raw dairy and takes it back to state A.

4. A citizen from state A is a member of a cooperative located in state B. It is illegal in state A to buy/sell but legal in state B to buy/sell. The citizen goes to the cooperative in state B and picks up their raw dairy and takes it back to state A.

5. A business owner is located in state A (where it is legal to buy/sell) and has customers that come from state B (where it is illegal). Customers from state B buy/sell raw dairy in state A and take it back to state b.

If you fit any of these categories and wish to participate in this lawsuit, please contact the FTCLDF at info@ftcldf.org.

Thank you!

I had arthritis...soreness is gone...

Here is an excerpt of a long and glowing letter to Aajonus:
[After seeing tremendous results with my wife on the Primal Diet,]"I started to try it too, but only eating raw meats and fatty avocados, tomatoes, etc about three days a week. I also have been doing the moisturizing drink twice a day now for about 3 months. Boy oh boy! I had arthritis hitting my hands and shoulders really bad! I couldn't bend the thumb on my left hand at all. It was spreading to the rest of my fingers in the same hand & starting in my right hand. Mr. Aajonus, I couldn't even clap my hands without them hurting - or shake hands. Within a little over 5 weeks my thumb started to bend again. Within 4 weeks most of the soreness was gone & within a month and a half I could bend my thumb completely, without any soreness. It also left my shoulders too!...

from 'Well Met, Raw Meat: Hoorah for Raw" article

An article in Edmonton "vueweekly.com magazine, by Vivian Zenari, is quoted in part below. The entire article gives pros and cons and also give names of restaurants in Edmonton at which raw meat is served. Here is the excerpt:

"One sign that Edmontonians are becoming nervier in their food choices is the availability of raw meat dishes in local restaurants.

Why eat raw meat? For some people, it’s simply a matter of taste. Raw meats have a different flavour and texture than cooked meats. Some adventurous eaters simply want to expand their palates to include the raw meat dishes favoured by other cultures. Others choose diets that promote specific environmental and health benefits.

The paleodiet claims that humans are best served by mimicking the diets of their Stone Age ancestors. This means, among other things, that there’s no cooking.

Raw food movements have been around for a while, but most of these are vegetarian. Aajonus Vonderplanitz is a prominent proponent of a paleodiet that he calls the Primal Diet. Unlike vegetarian raw food diets, the Primal Diet includes meat and dairy products, both of which are served raw or unpasteurized.

Vonderplanitz’s The Recipe for Living Without Disease (Carnelian Bay Castle Press, 2002) contains many raw meat recipes for beef, chicken, turkey, lamb and seafood, including baby food recipes. Vonderplanitz’s dietary dictums derive from the health benefits of eating raw food that he claims cured him of a spectrum of diseases including autism and cancer. His advice counters pretty much every mainstream theory..."

Executive Summary of Primal Diet Workshop DVD Set

I just received the new DVD set of the workshop Aajonus did at the UCLA campus in Los Angeles.

I saw the entire thing--what a treat!

The workshop proper is on 3 discs (4 hours) covering such topics as
  • elements of diet: proteins/carbhydrates/fats
  • the functioning of the glands
  • parasites/bacteria/fungus/virus
  • detoxification
  • why foods on the Primal Diet act as they do
  • basic eating schedules
  • demo of food preps
  • and a real explanation of industrial-environmental pollution as the actual cause of disease.
Then there's the final disc (while copies last) consisting of Aajonus' own story (the "intro" lecture) given before the actual workshop. That fourth disc in addition has five testimonials of people who have used the diet with good results. (Even my own testimonial was included as a cancer survivor.)

It's the type of information I could see a number of times over. I gained more from it this time--even though I was present at that original workshop.

It's well presented, and also has its humorous moments--in true "Aajonus" style.

I hope you enjoy yours as I have been enjoying my own set!
